ACT I: Beneath the surface of pluto--the samurai-armored warrior Tortan walked into the brown chamber of Pleadia's workshop within the Nazitan Outpost. He turned around on his stool and looked at him. "Well this is a pl..." he stopped to correct himself, "this's a surprise... What can I do for you?" "Adol is in a good mood because we have been fairly successful in gaining the solar spheres," Tortan told him. "So far, we have solar spheres from Uranus, Jupiter and Mars." Pleadia nodded. "But he still wants the ones from Saturn and Neptune well." "Yes. Now as long as he's feeling not like not having us executed for our unbelievably poor track record, we should keep this good thing going by coming up with a good plan," Tortan answered. "And I believe I have one." Walking by the entrance to Pleadia's workshop with Igan who stopped to hear this. "Pleadia, do you have a cyborg that can make the Astrorangers forget who they are?" Tortan asked. Pleadia looked up and pondered this question for a while. "I could come up with a photon microwave emitter that jams cerebral synapsis which would suspend memory retrieval. Attaching something like this a cyborg would be what you want but the only problem is that it is highly reliant on the survival of the cyborg itself." "That's fine," Tortan replied. "Without their memory, they wont know they can do anything about our cyborgs or Armaton soldiers anyway." "I'll work on it," Pleadia concluded. "Adol will hear from me when I am ready." Tortan nodded and left the chamber while passing Igan who entered. Facing in the opposite direction of the entrance, Pleadia saw Igan enter in the corner of his eye. "Can I help you?" "I had heard Tortan introduced a plan to..." Pleadia interrupted. "Yes, I know all about it. That's what I was going to work on before you entered." "You are not seriously contemplating this plan, are you?" "Why not?" Igan paused. "We don't know _where_ the other two solar spheres are. We can get that information from them since they know where they are but if you make them forget..." "I know where you're going with this and I've already made an allowance for this," Pleadia interrupted again. "As it were, it is entirely possible to get this information from the Astroranger's memories without having to ask them." "Very well," Igan replied. Episode 38: "Gone!! Memories of our Heros" The sun never came out in the morning as that day in Los Angeles was very cloudy. Low clouds that threatened of rain hovered over the house in Los Feliz where the Terranian Astrorangers had lived their pseudo-Human lives. Ron and Tom were in the Study arranging music while Dave sat in the living room looking at television with the sound muted. He was not watching though--Dave was just staring. Will came out of the kitchen drinking a can of root beer when he saw listless Dave cycling through the channels searching for a mild distraction. It sure isn't like Dave to lie around the house surfing channels instead of being outside working out, Will thought to himself. "Dave, you sick?" "No, I'm physically healthy," Dave said in a monotone voice. Will nodded. "I'm only asking 'cause it isn't like you to hang around here not really doing anything." "Maybe that's because it isn't like me to lack total ambition for anything." "What's got you down, man?" Will asked. Dave shook his head. "Being the team psychologist can only do so much. I know you mean well, otherwise you wouldn't ask to endure listening to my bitching and belly aching. But honestly, I can't see how it would help." "Believe it or not it can," Will replied. "And, in anyway, it's sorta my job as second in command to make sure everybody is in the right state of mind to keep doing what we're doing." "That's the funny thing about it, Will," Dave proposed. "How much are we to sacrifice in order to make sure the galaxy isn't being taken over or exploited by the Nazitans? One can only take so much of standing by while mutant cyborgs beat the hell out of you for the millionth time." "Yeah, well, at least we win," Will said. Dave shook his head. "Not really. They already have three of the solar spheres that they will no doubt partially or end up completely forming into that Genesis Infinitum Ring. Besides, that's not the point. I'm beginning to tire of not really being human." Dave leaned out of lying on the couch and sat up to face Will. "Ron can do it 'cause his work is his life. I'll never know what Tom's story is--but anyway; without the freedom to experience important areas of life, I don't know if I can keep doing this." "I know you feel this way now, Dave but eventually you will regain your spirit. Trust me. Before this mission began, I wanted to resign because of the reasons you name," Will said. "We were only accepted because we met the crucial standards for our mission, that alone must tell you that it is our destiny to do what it is we do. That destiny was so strong, it eventually took the fate of Beverly as well." "Yeah I know. And as convenient as it is to be able to rescue myself, I just sometimes wish that I could be normal, like everybody else--relying on people like us instead. At least when it's all over, I can wipe the sweat from my brow and think: Glad that's over with and move on," Dave said. "It isn't that I mind what we do but it's come at the stake of something precious to me. And I believe I've made a mistake in choosing this over what it is that I truly need for this life of mine." "And what's that, Dave?" asked Will. "Amy." Underneath Pluto at The Nazitan outpost--Igan stood in the primary chamber before Adol the Great speaking of Tortan's plan currently being executed by Tortan. Pleadia was entering the chamber and Adol had brought up his hand to halt Igan's continuous talking. "Sire," Pleadia announced. "Cyborg Massat has been launched for the purpose of..." Adol nodded and interrupted. "I already am aware of the plan that was discussed. Igan has also pointed out an unfortunate flaw in your plan as well." "(As he would)," Pleadia had mumbled under his breath. "Yes, I have already thought of a way to fix that. Armatons will find an Astroranger which we can now more easily locate and Igan here will attempt to extract the necessary information on the remaining solar spheres--his way." Igan looked at Pleadia with shock and he merely grinned at him. "Good idea," Adol said. "Ginara will be here waiting for your report." Pleadia shook his head. "No, no. I need her on Earth protecting Massat so that if it is successful, it can stay alive long enough to maintain the effect of memory loss." "Very well then," Adol replied. "Just make sure we know where those other three solar spheres are." Parker Center, Los Angeles Police Department headquarters--downtown L.A.; several police cars had driven into and out of the parking lot, replacing officers who were preparing to go to lunch. Inside of the department, Officer Beverly Tenmei was at her desk filling out some forms when her partner, Jason, came by talking with another officer. "Yeah, Jason. I'll be glad when those dudes clear out of the city, man. It sure is hard trying to do anything with all this sci-fi action gettin' outta hand." He shook his head. "It seems like this is almost over with, Reggie. That last disturbance up in the Park La Brea area was the first in a little while." "I hope so; anyway, I gotta go--good talking to you." "Yeah, see ya," Jason said. Beverly stood up and prepared to leave before he would ask her the inevitable question. "Would you like to go to lunch with me? I'll buy," Jason asked. As nice as he was, that would always be his avenue for prying into areas of her personal life. She could always use emergencies they had to respond to, to avoid answering. ``Why? So I can listen to more of your Astroranger bashing?'' she thought to herself. "No thanks, I've got to swing by the grocery store to pick up some stuff for King." "Okay then, Bev--I'll seeya in an hour or so," Jason said as he left. She shook her head and looked down upon her desk. Strange how the world seems more callous when your life is on the line and they can't even appreciate it. After this thought, Beverly put on her hat and left the office. Outside, Amy wore a pair of sandals, demin shorts and a satin tube-top. It looked as if she slept in those clothes as she slowly walked down the street, just to be out of the house. With her hands in her pockets, Amy looked up at the gray clouds backlit by the sun. She felt like a baseball had been pitched into her stomach. This--break up happened so fast, she wasn't sure what happened; why it had happened and for what reason did it have to happen now? He has to be scared, she thought to herself. I just wish there was some way to get through to him. Amy was tired of trying so hard to reach him though. "Maybe he's right. Perhaps having a relationship being protectors of this world isn't such a hot idea. I don't know what I'd do if I had to leave Dave for the safety of the world." Still she thought it was her, something she may have done though the chance of this were slim. All of a sudden--black Armaton soldiers somersaulted overhead out of sight in a criss-crossing pattern in the sky. They appeared in the residential street and surrounded Amy. Elsewhere, other pedestrians ran away and people outside of their houses quickly went indoors. "Ack!" Amy grunted. "I am NOT in the mood for this!" Assuming the libra scales of her position for combat, Amy ran into the street. Amy roundhoused a rifle sword away and performed a walk-over using her ankles to kick down another soldier. She had done a low spin-kick tripping one more Armaton. Another soldier had swung its sword at her and she ducked. Aggressively, Amy kicked it high and punched it across the head causing it to twist around and hit the asphalt. Cartwheeling away from a downward strike, Amy turned around and smacked it into also tumbling into the roadway. "That was close!!" An Armaton low spin-kicked towards Amy's feet and she'd back flipped out of the way. "Another close call," she said. Two soldiers had swung their sword-rifles to Amy's chest and she used her left forearm to block their weapons. With her right arm, Amy knocked them skyward, separating the two bladed rifles. Amy turned around and high spin-kicked at an Armaton which tumbled under her foot. She went ahead and kicked the first soldier down and when the tumbling Armaton came up again she hop-kicked it's head back. An Armaton beat down with its bladed rifle; Amy's hand held up the rifle-sword with her palm. She elbow-jabbed the black soldier in the stomach, open-handedly chopped in the back of the neck knocking into the black asphalt. Amy shin-kicked another into bowing forth and used her elbow to stomp its back. She didn't see the line up of Armaton soldiers on the sidewalk firing a cascade of explosive laser bolts at her. "What the..." Towers of explosions knocked Amy around as she'd been lifted off of her feet while screaming. The Armatons continued shooting at her. "Agh!!! This burns!" Amy's clothes had holes from the laser bits flying by while she was bounced around even more so. Eventually, Amy collapsed to the ground. In the sky, an Armaton flipped over with its rifle-sword striking down. Amy rolled over and the blade of the soldier's rifle sparked off the sidewalk where she was. "I need help!" She got up and ran away but was blocked by more soldiers shooting at her. "Oh shoot!!" She jumped out of the way of a wall of sparks that burst before her. Tumbling over onto the sidewalk again, she jumped into the air--in the sky, she assumed a flying side kick position. An Armaton's chest was kicked in by her brown sandal-clad foot. She back flipped after watching it hit the black roadway. "Now I can escape!" Behind her, an Armaton used its bladed rifle to slice across her satin blouse. Amy gasped and stumbled back into the street after a huge hole was carved in her expensive shirt. "Uh oh!" she said as more of them came after her. Breathing deeply, she said, "I gotta hang in there!" Amy ducked an Armaton's flying spin-kick and pushed it away with her foot when she was kicked across the way by another soldier. She rolled over and over until she hit the curb and tried to pull herself up off the ground with blood trickling from above her right temple. Suddenly, Amy's arms were grabbed by two Armatons and pulled her up off the gutter. She watched helplessly as more Armatons began to close in. "No! Keep away!!" Amy ceased to see daylight as they completed their approach. ACT II: The black pick-up truck of Tom's left the Hollywood Freeway by turning down the winding off-ramp on Cahuenga Boulevard. Once Tom approached the red light, he dug around in his glove compartment when abruptly, his mind instantly felt Amy's turmoil. "Thank goodness I just finished that job," Tom said to himself. "I better call the others." The light turned green just after he'd picked up his cellular telephone and speed-dialed the house. The black pickup truck then drove away. On the Glendale Freeway, a FedEx truck drove southbound while inside, Ron, in his navy blue delivery uniform, changed to the exit lane, when his pager began beeping. Removing it from his belt clip, Ron read the display. "Uh oh." In the room he shared with Ron, Will sat at the second computer at the long desk in the second bedroom in the house. Dave walked through the open door while he was doing accounting for a client. "Hey, Will. We've got a big problem." Will clicked around the bookkeeping software with his mouse. "What?" "Tom says Amy's probably in trouble--he's also paged Ron as well so we should all be meeting up at about the same place," Dave reported. "We'll need the HydroCycles to get there in time." Will stood up and switched off his monitor. "Where is this happening?" "Near Silver Lake Drive," Dave said. "Come on, we don't have a lot of time." In the foggy sky, fragments of clouds passed by at high speed as SaturnAstro flew in using his Black HydroCycle; soon he was joined by MercuryAstro on the white HydroCycle and the last two, red and green Astrorangers riding their flying motorcycles. SaturnAstro looked at MercuryAstro. "How did you make it out here, Messuta?" "I was doing package delivery, not pickup," Messuta said. "If they get there today, they don't care." MarsAstro looked over at the two Astrorangers. "If you don't mind, I'd like to try and figure out how to help Lotia out if we can." "There is more trouble than we though too," MercuryAstro replied. "We've got Ginara and a cyborg down there as well. Not to mention more Armaton soldiers than you could count on your fingers." "Let's try to get Lotia to safety first," JupiterAstro recommended. "Perhaps that cyborg has gotten to her." "You might be right--I'm not showing that she's AstroCharged into VenusAstro at all," SaturnAstro replied. "Let's look around on foot." "Agreed--take the HydroCycle's down for a landing," MarsAstro said. The four winged motorcycles began to descend from the sky. On Hyperion Avenue, the multicolored bikes turned right on Rowena Avenue approaching Silver Lake Drive. SaturnAstro looked around. "Traffic is too normal on this street for there to have had been any recent conflict." MarsAstro nodded, "You're right--let's try these residential streets." The bikes began to turn south on one of the roads. SaturnAstro found it very suspicious at the absence of Armatons after turning up so many on the scanner. "Let's take it slow guys," JupiterAstro warned. "She could be anywhere." "She is, but you're not going to find her." Ginara stood on the roof of a garage beside metal-clad mutant cyborg. The four of them stopped and dismounted their motorcycles. "It took you all long enough but you finally showed up." MarsAstro looked up and pointed. "Where is she?!" Ginara chuckled. "(So predictable.) That should not be your primary concern for, very shortly, you will not even know who you are--let alone the pink Astroranger." "(What is she talking about?)" MercuryAstro asked. SaturnAstro shrugged. "Cyborg Massat--these are your targets," Ginara said while pointing. "Begin the execution of your orders." The black robot with an evil metallic face had stepped forth as slanted red lines as eyes illuminated. A bazooka barrel was mounted on its back while its arms had thin cannon tubes as well. SaturnAstro noticed Massat was also heavily armored. "This guy looks like he can do some serious damage, Sheratan." "Yeah, well, so can we," MarsAstro said. "Celestial Weapons!" MercuryAstro twirled his blue and white spear shouting, "Power Staff!" "Battle Scythe," SaturnAstro shouted bringing up his black weapon. JupiterAstro raised his green weapon and called its name. "ThunderBow!" "FireSword!" MarsAstro shouted while holding it beside his helmet-covered head. The visors of their masks had gleamed as they announced, "Astroranger!" Overhead, Massat and Ginara somersaulted out of sight in opposite directions. Ginara kicked MarsAstro's blade high and side-kicked him back. MercuryAstro swung his PowerStaff at Ginara and she ducked and low spin-kicked him into tripping over into the ramp of a driveway. MarsAstro tried slashing Ginara with his sword but she'd already back flipped off the sidewalk. SaturnAstro spun around, swinging his scythe at Cyborg Massat. The black robot was fast enough to swing its fist up, knocking the blade up as well. The black Astroranger sliced down causing sparks to break out of its heavily armored chest. This forced Massat to stumble back so SaturnAstro attempted to take advantage with a sideways attack. The cyborg's forearm came up like a wall while its other arm knocked the black Astroranger's scythe up. Cyborg Massat turned around and kicked SaturnAstro into twirling into the air and falling over into the asphalt. Coasting through the sky, JupiterAstro shot an arrow from arrow from his green ThunderBow. The green Astroranger fired again and Massat raised its left arm and the tube mounted on its arm fired a yellow ray. The green arrow was cut in half by the laser shooting through it. JupiterAstro stood on the sidewalk and fired another arrow at Massat from the side. It quickly turned to face him and used its right arm's laser to shoot through that arrow as well. "Damn it!" JupiterAstro shouted. Massat's back-mounted cannon had came up and connected to its shoulder. Suddenly, a massive purple beam of light came out of the cannon on its shoulder. JupiterAstro jumped into the air over the explosion--in the sky, he shouted, "Jupiter Great Red Spot Kick!" Cyborg Massat jumped back in shock as it watched the green Astroranger come flying in with a twirling corkscrew kick. Massat fired from both of its arm-mounted ray guns. Sparks shot out of JupiterAstro's green shining uniform as he fell smoking from the air. The green Astroranger landed on top of a car, rolled off the roof and hit the street. MarsAstro ducked a tornado kick from Ginara and sliced down with his sword causing sparks to break off her armor. "Take over!" he said to SaturnAstro as he turned around. Running after Cyborg Massat from behind, the red Astroranger jumped into the air. In the sky, he somersaulted over and Cyborg Massat, approaching JupiterAstro, looked up in surprise. It was too late to shoot as MarsAstro had jumped off its shoulders causing it tumble into the street. MarsAstro landed on his feet and turned around to see Massat stand up. "Heavy armor really makes it hard to keep these cyborgs down!" He ran in after the cyborg but it fired from all of its weapons. A fire filled explosion blew up beneath MarsAstro as he jumped into the air. "Moleculatom Weapon!" he shouted--firing beams of high-voltage electricity. Dark yellow sparks exploded from Massat's black armor. Surrounded by fire, MarsAstro landed next to JupiterAstro and helped him stand up. "You all right?" JupiterAstro stood up. "Yeah, thanks for saving my skin--Sheratan." "This is what you said we're here for," MarsAstro replied. "Uh oh!" Massat jogged after the Astrorangers. MarsAstro tumbled out of the way; JupiterAstro turned around and high-spin kicked it across the face. He failed in knocking it back as it punched the green Astroranger into falling over. Meanwhile--Ginara cartwheeled away from MercuryAstro's staff swinging down and hop-kicked SaturnAstro's blade upward. She turned around and high-spin kicked at SaturnAstro who ducked and blocked a shin-kick to his side when he saw Massat running after them. "Messuta look out!" Cyborg Massat fired two yellow rays from its arms; MercuryAstro was knocked off his feet by two towers of sparks exploding in front of himself. "I'm gettin' outta here!" SaturnAstro shouted. Massat opened fire again and SaturnAstro had leaped over a car's roof ahead of time, avoiding the blast of sparks. Another yellow ray came from the cyborg's right arm again and the tire of the automobile had deflated, causing the alarm to go off. The black Astroranger came up over the hood of the car and shot a yellow ray from his Moleculatom Blaster that carried the blue beam of electricity. Cyborg Massat's chest exploded with sparks but it began to gain an immunity to the electrical shock so it stepped forth and fired from its shoulder cannon. "Uh oh!!" SaturnAstro ducked as the thick purple ray of light blew a hole in the driver-side door. Black smoke poured out of the car while Massat turned around. JupiterAstro punched into its abs doing no harm so Massat's heavily armored fist knocked him away. MarsAstro uses his FireSword to strike down and across; both times producing a powerful blast of sparks; Cyborg Massat's fist came up when the red Astroranger's blade swung back in. Massat's forearm stopped the weapon and its fist knocked the blade up as it punched MarsAstro across the helmet. "Hermes Winged Ankles!" MercuryAstro shouted. The white Astroranger jumped up shouting "Foot-Punches!" In the midair, the white Astroranger kicked Cyborg Massat's chest twice from each foot alternately. Massat tumbled back over onto the ground. MercuryAstro back flipped and assumed his crescent-shaped arm position upon landing on his feet. "Nash, I got 'em!" "That's not going to do you any good!" Ginara said. "Let's see you deal with this!" Ginara's eyes had began to glow as the jewel in her tiara did when an arc of electricity began to crackle forth. Multiple towers of sparks exploded, lifting cars up into the air as well as the Astrorangers as it all came crashing into the ground. Surrounded by fire, SaturnAstro came up again and looked at the others. "We need the women!" he shouted out. In an alley close by--Amy was tied to a lamp post while surrounded by both Armatons Soldiers and Igan. She tried to get free by straining against her bindings but the metal straps were too strong, even for her innate Terranian strength. Giving up, she gasped and looked at Igan. "Let me go!!" "If you want to help your friends, you have to help me first," he said to her mind. Amy knew he could understand her, even if he could not understand her words. "What??" Igan stepped closer to her. "Your fellow Astrorangers are in grave danger at this time and unless you are of help to me, they will perish." Amy became angry. "I don't even know who you are! Why should I help you?!" Igan knelt in front of Amy. "Because if you don't, I will let these Armatons have their way with you." Amy pulled her ankles against the bands tying them down but she only managed to scrap herself. "What do you want with me!?" "I want to know what you know," Igan answered smearing away the blood on her ankles. "Tell me where the other solar spheres are." "What's a solar sphere?" Igan stood up and grew angry. "Don't be stupid, Astroranger. You know damn well what I am talking about." "Looks like you're gonna have to find another way to get them," Amy said. Igan turned around and paced a few steps away. "You're certainly not going to figure out where they are from me." When Igan heard Amy say that, he lifted a finger as a signal to the Armatons. One of them stepped over and knee-kicked Amy in the stomach. Her head dropped after gasping from the blow and coughed before breathing deeply. "Do not make me ask this again, Astroranger," Igan warned. He turned around and looked her in her bloodshot eyes. "Tell me where the Saturn and Neptune solar spheres are." All that could be heard is Amy's deep breathing so Igan exhaled. "Fine." Igan used his small black device to project an image of the Astrorangers getting beat up by Cyborg Massat. Amy forgot she failed before and started pulling from her binds again without luck. "Please..." The holographic image on the wall showed Ginara upper-cut punching MarsAstro and kicking him down. Amy's eyes started overflowing with tears. "Untie me, you Nazitan..." "Call me Igan," he said sarcastically. "And I like hearing you beg." Amy gritted her teeth. "You sick piece of sh..." Igan laughed. "Pleadia was right to spare you once before. You are all very amusing." "Bastard--let me go!" Amy shouted. Igan nodded. "Okay," he said given the Armatons the signal to let her down, "but beware, for the cyborg that attacks your friends has yet to to peak in its abilities." Amy snatched her wrist away from an soldier and then pointed at Igan. "First I am going to destroy that cyborg. Then, I'm going to hunt you down and seal up every single orifice on your body!" "If you don't forget," Igan said as he and the Armatons slowly vanished. Amy was so angry she could kick a football a hundred yards but instead she brought up her right fist shouting, "ChangeForm!" Her ring gleamed and began to glow when she pointed it forth. "AstroCharge!" Her Zircon Genesis Gemstone had flashed brilliantly. Amy's face appeared before a black on red-grid background as the shape of his head became a rainbow silhouette. Her entire body a black silhouette, a white bar of light scrolled from left to right; when scrolling back--Amy was in the shiny pink skirted AstroSuit. In a brilliant flash of light, VenusAstro was seen running out of the alley. Meanwhile at the Nazitan outpost beneath the surface of Pluto--Pleadia had returned to the primary chamber. Adol had stood from his throne. "Report." "Adol the Great, I regret to inform you that arranging the Astroranger battle team is taking slightly longer than expected," Pleadia reported. "However, Cyborg Massat is not losing the struggle." Adol nodded. "Good. See to it that its combat programming is successful. I think it would be interesting to try and turn the Astrorangers against themselves." Pleadia looked confused. "Sir?" "If they don't know who they are, we can tell them and show them anything. If they're so gullible, they'll believe us and they will kill each other for us." In the residential street featuring several damaged automobiles and smoke rising from the pavement, VenusAstro ran down the black roadway looking at all that had happened. "Hey!!" she shouted. Ginara had punched MercuryAstro into falling away. Suddenly, VenusAstro pulled Ginara's shoulders, turning her around before Ginara found VenusAstro's gloved fist knocking her across the face. From her point of view a flash of light is all she saw before going down. "Lotia, are you are all right?" MarsAstro asked. Breathing heavily, VenusAstro looked at him and then at the enemies again. "If I said anything remotely positive, I'd be lying." JupiterAstro helped MercuryAstro to stand. "Where were you? We were trying to rescue you when all of a sudden this huge cyborg comes attacking us out of no where!" Holding his wrist, MercuryAstro nodded. "Armatons took me into this alley where another Nazitan by the name of Igan tried to find out where the other Solar Spheres are," VenusAstro answered. "I didn't tell him anything." "That's good--but, what are we gonna do about this thing?" SaturnAstro asked. "It seems as if _nothing_ is going to stop that cyborg." "We're gonna do this like always," VenusAstro stepped ahead and said. "The hard way." "Glad you could join us, pink Astroranger," Ginara said. "Now the project is about to be complete." ``I really wish I knew what she was talking about,'' JupiterAstro thought. Ginara pointed. "Cyborg Massat--attack!" The massive robot with heavy its black armor came running forth when it jumped into the air. In the sky, it somersaulted overhead; then it came in with both fists ahead. JupiterAstro was forced into rolling over but SaturnAstro tried to high spin-kick Massat it ducked and kicked him in the abs. The black Astroranger was then punched into tumbling off to the side. The cyborg turned around and saw MarsAstro flying in with his FireSword. The red Astroranger landed and sparks broke out of Cyborg Massat's metal body shell after his sword swung down. MarsAstro spun around and swung his blade into the abs of the cyborg but it pulled up its knee. Massat's shin blocked his sword and his fist hammered it down. The cyborg finally whacked the red Astroranger across the helmet with the back of his fist. Coasting through the sky, JupiterAstro fired an arrow from his bow. Cyborg Massat's arm was already up, shooting a fine yellow beam of light through the arrow yet again. It then changed arms to shoot at the green Astroranger. JupiterAstro body flipped out of the way; off a telephone poll, he used both feet to bounce off the side of the wooden poll. "Jupiter Great Red Spot Kick!" JupiterAstro announced while swirling sideways through the sky. "Get DOWN!" Ginara shouted after kicking down SaturnAstro; she punched away MercuryAstro upon looking over at JupiterAstro. "Keep away from Massat!" she shouted as she fired a beam of light from the jewel in her tiara. Sparks shot out of JupiterAstro's shiny green uniform as he dropped from the sky smoking. Hitting the grass on the sidewalk, "Hagh!" he exclaimed while rolling over. VenusAstro cartwheeled over a low spin-kick from Ginara and then roundhoused her into flipping onto her back. Ginara pushed off her hands and onto her feet again but MarsAstro got in her way. When the pink Astroranger turned around, she saw JupiterAstro straining to get up. "Australis!!" she shouted. "Are you are okay??" JupiterAstro wasn't talking so she looked at Massat. "Cover me, guys--I'm gonna take on the cyborg now!" MarsAstro ducked a spin kick from Ginara and locked arms with her then looking at the pink Astroranger. "Good luck!" Ginara broke the lock and knee kicked MarsAstro. VenusAstro ran after Cyborg Massat and the tall robot standing at the end of the road had fired streams of light from its arm and shoulder mounted guns. VenusAstro zig-zag ran between the explosions erupting from the street. At the intersection, VenusAstro stopped running when she got close enough. She stood there and assumed her battle position. "Guns are are for those who can't fight," said VenusAstro. They stepped sideways in a circle very slowly. "If you know what's good for you, you'll retreat now!" Cyborg Massat ignored her and ran after her anyway. Meeting above the broken yellow line along the roadway, the pink Astroranger and black cyborg made contact. It took a swing at her but her left arm quickly stopped Massat's fist. VenusAstro kicked it high, grabbed its shoulders and knee-kicked in the abs. She used both hands to karate-chopped the cyborg's shoulders by the neck but it pushed her back and took another swing at her. The pink Astroranger jumped backwards onto her palms. Pushing off her hands, VenusAstro stood on her feet again and then hop-kicked its arms high and punched straight into its face. It stumbled back but she wasn't through--VenusAstro brought up her right fist and punched it across the face again. Cyborg Massat found itself walking backwards as she punched it across the face with her left then her right again. The pink Astroranger then turned around and in one mighty swing, her foot flew across its face and the cyborg was knocked over. Overhead, the cyborg's massive body free-fell through the sky. Ginara held onto MercuryAstro's PowerStaff as she noticed Massat take a spill. "Uh oh!!" She knocked the staff high and side-kicked MercuryAstro and then ran ahead. VenusAstro stepped in her way holding her Moleculatom dagger. Ginara looked behind herself and noticed JupiterAstro and MercuryAstro joined the two male Astrorangers and then looked ahead of herself again. "Get out of my way, pink Astroranger." VenusAstro laughed out loud. "Ha! I'm threw with you Nazitans ordering me around!" Cyborg Massat began to come to and Ginara noticed this. She grinned. "Get used to it--soon your entire society will be under our command." VenusAstro tried to run after her but Massat rose up and wrapped its massive arms around her body. "Lotia!!" MarsAstro shouted. Cyborg Massat picked up VenusAstro and brought her over its own head. "Moleculatom Weapons Fire!" JupiterAstro shouted. SaturnAstro stood head of them. "No, Australis! They're using her as a human shield!" "More like a cannon ball!" MercuryAstro shouted. "Look out!" Cyborg Massat pitched VenusAstro into the air. In the sky, she hit the side of an automobile and fell out onto the curb. "Oh man," MarsAstro said while signaling to the others. "Come on!" The four of them ran after VenusAstro. "I'm okay you guys," she said getting up. "This thing's pretty tough!" SaturnAstro looked at her. "Yeah, we noticed." Ginara walked forth, beside the cyborg she commanded. "All right, I've had about enough of this--Cyborg Massat, transform!" The black giant of a robot stepped forth. Its arms, legs and head began flipping and folding until finally the cyborg resembled a cannon. The shoulder cannon it had in robot mode was mounted where its head was. "What in the hell?" MarsAstro asked. "That's exactly where you're going in a minute," Ginara threatened. "Fire!!" A white fuzzy beam of light burst forth in a powerful beam. The beam blasted from Cyborg Massat in cannon mode across the street. VenusAstro instinctively leaped out of the way, rolling over on her back. It was not an explosive ray--this ray had frozen the Astrorangers solid. Due to the angle--the beam had fired into the mirror of a car, causing it to ricochet. Ginara was nodding and smiling when she too was hit in the face with the ray. VenusAstro rolled over multiple times when she got up and looked at what was going on. The beam finally disappeared and Cyborg Massat converted back into robot mode. The Astrorangers and Ginara all dropped to the street and VenusAstro looked at Massat which was aiming its cannon at her. "Uh no!" the pink Astroranger said. "Venus Libera Scale Tackle!" she had shouted. Massat opened fire and she jumped into the air over the tower of sparks bursting beneath her. In the sky, her legs were out into a V; Cyborg Massat's neck was wrapped up by her ankles. VenusAstro hung from its neck and dropped back to stand on her hands; using all of her lower-body strength, she hurled the cyborg into the air. In the sky, it swam through the air eventually crashing into the street. VenusAstro stood up again and shouted into the sky. "Galaxy Task Force Command: Pink HydroCycle!!" The motorcycle came driving solo around the corner and Cyborg Massat started shooting from its arm cannons. VenusAstro ran down the street, avoiding the sparks erupting from the asphalt while running. "I'll be back for you all later--this thing is much too powerful for me to battle alone," she said while getting onboard her pink vehicle. "Ignition!" she ordered. The motorcycle switched to manual operator mode and she then sped off down the street, her HydroCycle's tired squealing against the pavement leaving behind smoke and a streak in the roadway. Down the roadway, MercuryAstro moaned as he came to. Looking around, he felt confused. "What's going on? Where am I?" When he stood up--he looked down at his hands and asked, "Who am I?" The white Astroranger began to walk away... TO BE CONTINUED Next week on Galaxy Task Force Astroranger. . .
