"Hehe, no what I mean is; after the past six days of Dave and I rushing through the arrangements and helping Tom and Ron set up music, my mind hasn't had a chance to actually realize that I am about to spend the rest of my life with Dave." "Good, you appear obedient," Amy said. "Now tell me--what is the location of the Venus, Saturn and Neptune solar sphere?" "Wait a minute--wait a minute, what happened again?" Dave asked. Ron looked at him seriously. "While you were out, someone who _looked_ like Amy came home asking where you were." "She or actually, the cyborg," Tom corrected himself, "was probably searching for the only Astroranger who would know the true location to the last three solar spheres." "Which means that when the cyborg that looked like Amy had left right after fighting Beverly and the _real_ Amy, it took the solar spheres and ran as soon as it saw Tom and I show up at the beach," Will said. Amy, in the bikini looked at Beverly. "What is that!?!" The duplicate Amy began to walk towards them when suddenly, she stood still; her clothes and lit up brilliantly causing Beverly and Amy to shield their faces. Standing before them was then a humanoid in what appeared to be a white wet-leather bodysuit. Beverly and Amy jumped back defensively. The cyborg yanked the handle in another direction, causing Amy to swim through the sky again. She was heading for the stone wall of the cliff when suddenly, the chain around her ankle had been severed by sparks caused by a green arrow shooting through the linked metal. Amy fell into SaturnAstro arms and the black Astroranger let her stand on her own when JupiterAstro had joined them. "Problem, Aust." JupiterAstro sighed while putting Beverly down behind himself. "What?" "The cyborg is gone." Cyborg Morpher III had held a hand full of red sticks with fuses attached. Tossing them through the air, two policewomen leaped away from a car they used as a shield as it had exploded into a tower of fire. On the platform, an arc of electricity had formed between the red skin of the cyborg and the tube of light. Another lightning bolt had struck the cyborg and caused its body to jump once more. More electric blue arcs of light had danced across it's torso causing the cyborg to stiffen up and even vibrate. Cyborg Akuma nodded and said, "Galaxy Task Force Astroranger will die." Officer Beverly Tenmei was dragged while kicking and screaming by her arms, two Armatons holding each. The five Astrorangers stood by as Cyborg Morpher III collapsed onto the street and suddenly burst into flames after exploding. "Hey, I remember you," Beverly said. "I was in that cave with the others when you told Tortan to kill us! Yeah--you're Adol, aren't you?!" "Terribly sorry," Adol replied. "May I welcome again to the Nazitan outpost at Pluto." "Pluto? Again!?" Beverly screamed. "Adol, you're going to be _real_ sorry you brought me back here. I vowed never to return to this hell hole!" To MarsAstro, it seemed to have been going in slow-motion when the red cyborg pulled back it's right arm. Its throbbing muscles powered the blazing fist that was heading straight for his face. When all five knuckles smashed into the red Astroranger's helmet, he screamed as a blast of sparks exploded from the punch. The police car with no driver swerved around fire balls bursting from the street as the car zig-zagged around the explosions. The pink Astroranger holding onto the top of the car was starting to dangle off the sides as black smoke rushed up from the flames blasting out of the road. Half of the green Astroranger's back landed on top of an abandoned Metro Bus as he dropped off onto the street in front of the advertisement on its side. "Fair well, JupiterAstro," Cyborg Akuma said before blinking. Its eyes had sent jagged rays of yellow light into the bus. JupiterAstro had jumped away just in time as the bus was literally boosted into the air by a huge explosion of fire. Cyborg Akuma stepped forth and grabbed MarsAstro by the neck. In the sky, the red Astroranger was held above itself as Akuma said, "To the fall of Galaxy Task Force Astroranger!!" Pushing him into into the sky, MarsAstro had sailed a great distance through the air. Through the glass doors of a building, MarsAstro had crashed through and onto the floor rolling over. Episode 49: "Begin the Final Battle" The gray planet Pluto was covered with ice because of its distant orbit from the sun but beneath the surface, a giant bunker housed the Nazitan outpost. Within one of the stone-walled chambers, the heavy armor on Tortan chinked each time he took a step while pacing back and forth. Meanwhile, Ginara clenched her fist. "Tortan! Going up against Adol the Great is insane! His power is vast." "He was a soldier once as I was, Ginara," Tortan told her. "Once I kill him, I will take his place as Tortan the Great!" Ginara stepped forth. "Why now??" Tortan stopped and turned to look at her. "Because it is the perfect time! Right now, all of Adol's resources are currently focused on the demise of the Galaxy Task Force on Earth. With the persuit of the solar spheres and the Infinitum Genesis Ring our primary mission, my assault will be unsuspecting." "If you fail, you will be destroyed for treason!" Ginara said. Tortan clenched his fist and looked up. "I will not fail. It is my destiny." Below the orange sky above, the sun was setting at Pershing Square and the downtown Los Angeles area became a ghost town due to police evacuation. Cyborg Akuma had walked in through the park and looked around. "Yes. This is where it shall happen." Akuma had gazed into the late evening sky. "Here is the place where AstroMan shall fall." Cyborg Akuma pushed its pitch fork into the air and began to call out, "By the powers invested in me by Lord Vahorra--I, Cyborg Akuma, will Grow! Magnifying my size one hundred fold, amplifying my strength one thousand fold! I shall now become--TITAN CYBORG AKUMA!!!" Dark clouds rolled through the sky as lightning had struck the red metal rod Akuma suspended in the air. Rising above the ground, Titan-Akuma had stood tall, its fearsome red body stretching 150 feet into the sky. Underneath Pluto at the Nazitan outpost, Adol walked back up the stairs to his throne and took his seat "Igan, take Beverly back to Earth and strap her to the tallest building in the city." Beverly's jaw fell open. "WHAT? May I ask why you are doing this?!" Adol tapped his wand in his hand. "If the Astrorangers do not stand down, we are going to cut you lose, allowing you to fall to your death." Beverly's eyes opened up wide as she received Adol's telepathic communication. "You see, you are going to help me; like it or not," Adol insisted. "And once I find out what your GeneGem has to do with the solar spheres, you will help me again." Sweat covered her darkened face as Beverly feared she may be responsible for the destruction of man. This has to be the worst day of my life, she thought. Synchronously orbiting Earth's moon was a opal sphere-shaped space station while onboard, Lotia wore navy blue jogging pants and a pink t-shirt while checking the bandage Nashiran she wrapped onto his shoulder. He nodded and smiled while she wondered over to Australis and Messuta. "How are you both doing?" Messuta frowned. "It's still pretty sore but I'm glad we kept around the medical equipment that we brought over from Terrania to operate on Beverly here at the SpaceBase." "Yeah," Australis agreed. "Mending our broken bones on Earth would've taken weeks if not months. By the way, what's the status on the Celestial Weapons Commander Leto? They got toasted pretty bad, back there." "They should be ready with in a couple of hours," Leto answered. "That's quick considering how Akuma smoked us so easily," Nashiran commented. Australis nodded. "Thanks, Commander. Now we've got two problems, guys. The last solar sphere is bound to be found by that damn near omnipotent cyborg and now the Nazitans have Beverly." "Yeah, I know and what the hell do they want with her anyway?" Sheratan spoke up and asked. "I mean, why'd they waste valuable search time with Beverly?" "I guess they want us to waste time ourselves by trying to rescue her," Lotia had guessed. "With her in danger, we can't stop them from taking the sphere." Yellow lights appeared on all stations before a sharp sound alerted everyone to the alarm. Leto walked up to one of the stations and activated the display; on screen; Titan-Akuma marched towards the civic center the size of a 15-story tall building. "Looks like we're going to have to wait on saving Beverly," Australis said. "We've got to save the world." Nashiran nodded. Messuta sighed. "If the Celestial Weapons couldn't take him down in humanoid state, AstroMan doesn't stand a chance." "Well we obviously don't have a choice so let's do this and hope we live to tell about it someday," Sheratan said. "Is everybody ready?" The remaining four nodded affirmatively. Sheratan brought up his right fist. "Okay then--AstroCharge!" Forcing his fist forward, his ruby GeneGem had flashed brightly. Simultaneously, all five of their heads into silhouettes before a white bar of light wiped back and forth across their faces. The Astroranger helmet masks appeared after the bar had vanished upon a bright white light flashing. At Broadway Street and Beverly Boulevard, the red, green, black, white and pink HydroCycles drove eastbound on Beverly towards the intersection where they stopped. JupiterAstro got off and looked into the sky. "Watch out, guys!" Titan-Akuma looked down on the Astrorangers. "Be prepared, task force. For I have enlarged _myself_ to titan size!" "Usually Adol does that," MercuryAstro said. "There's something strange with this cyborg." "In that case, let's not waste any time!" MarsAstro said. "Galaxy Task Force Command--Astro Shuttles Blast Off!" In the zero-gravity take-off bay at the bottom of the SpaceBase, the force field maintaining air-pressure inside of the take-off bay was activated. The doors began to open, showing Earth in outer space, as indicated by the warning signal. The afterburners flared with rocket propulsion prior to moving the two shuttles, two rockets and one space shift out of the shuttle bay. In outer space, the five AstroShuttles had left the take-off bay as the SpaceBase became invisible again. The fleet began to travel towards the planet Earth at maximum velocity. In the city--MarsAstro was joined by the others while they watched the green CommandShuttle lead the red CombatShuttle, pink RescueShuttle, white TurboShuttle and black SolarShuttle fly between skyscrapers. "All aboard!" the red Astroranger called out as they crossed their arms. The team became glowing spheres of light prior to traveling towards the cockpits of the shuttle fleet. Within the CombatShuttle's cockpit indicated by the Mars insignia, MarsAstro had materialized before sitting in his seat. The chair lowered onto the floor and rolled forth while the console slid towards him. "CombatShuttle manned." Inside of CommandShuttle's cockpit, JupiterAstro nodded and assumed control of his console. "Acknowledged, AstroFleet now under manual pilot," the green Astroranger replied while looking at MarsAstro in an inset window on screen. MarsAstro sat within the cockpit of his red AstroShuttle, CombatShuttle. "Merge to form AstroMan." A five-way view of all cockpits showed the white gloves of the Astroranger's fists pulling back a large black lever. Red and Pink Shuttles landed on the ground as feet and legs while green CommandShuttle's nose folded under the ventral hull while its jet packs slid on to the sides to become shoulders. The craft connected to the legs, forming the torso. Meanwhile, the rockets white TurboShuttle and black SolarShuttle hooked up to the shoulders as arms and fists. Meanwhile, different, ringed tubes were bringing each Astroranger in their seat to the primary cockpit. AstroMan's head ascended from between its shoulders--through its red visor, one could see the Astroranger battle team rising into place. On the bottom level, JupiterAstro and SaturnAstro occupied the control bank there while the top bank was manned by VenusAstro and MercuryAstro. MarsAstro manned the middle and center station and placed his hands on the controls. "Merging sequence complete." Pulling away to show all of the multi-colored robot, its fists' knuckles were together. AstroMan's red visor gleamed into a twinkle in the upper corner when bringing its fists apart; a field of stars in outer space appeared behind itself showing the planets: Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars. Titan-Akuma looked at AstroMan. "At last, I meet your giant warrior robot, AstroMan. This is most certainly going to be the last time I ever see it again once I crush it." "The only thing that's crushed around here is your skull if you think we're ever going to back off," MarsAstro replied. "Now shut up and fight." "Certainly, Astroranger!" Titan-Akuma said as it pointed its pitch fork ahead causing three wide rays of red to thunder forth. The bolts of light had caused sparks to erupt out of AstroMan's multi-colored armor. Titan-Akuma had rammed its head forth; the two red horns in Titan-Akuma's head sparked off AstroMan's sparks causing it to stumble back while smoking. Titan-Akuma picked up its red pitch fork and walked in. Sparks broke out of its abs when Akuma's fork cracked against the tall robot's armor. Titan-Akuma turned around and swung his pitch fork against AstroMan. It managed to block the metal rod with its fist and use its other fist to knock Akuma's red weapon high up. Titan-Akuma struck down causing sparks to explode from AstroMan's chest. Akuma stabbed against the mighty robot but its fists caught the prongs. Titan-Akuma was turned around while trying to get its weapon free. Akuma kicked AstroMan's side causing sparks to explode out of its body. The multi-colored robot was forced to let go of Akuma's pitch fork allowing the titan cyborg to smash it against AstroMan's chest. Sparks caused AstroMan to stumble backwards. Inside of the cockpit, the five Astrorangers were rocked in their cockpit as VenusAstro attempted to stabilize the robot. SaturnAstro looked at his team. "I'm tired of this. I really, really am." MercuryAstro nodded in agreement. "So am I," MarsAstro replied. "Australis--the SunSabre super nova." "Coming right up!" JupiterAstro announced. AstroMan held the base of the SunSabre against its face as its visor had sent a bar of yellow light into the guard of the single-sided sword. The blade had begun to become a beam of light. Inside of the cockpit--MarsAstro had nodded, giving the signal. "SunSabre Super Nova Termination!" all Astrorangers shouted. Titan Akuma had brought its arms apart, suddenly vanishing into steam. The laser-bladed sword swung through nothing and AstroMan turned around and looked around, trying to find its target. Inside of the cockpit, MarsAstro slapped his forehead. "What in the hell just happened to Cyborg Akuma?!" SaturnAstro asked. MercuryAstro shrugged. "It did that before." Suddenly, Titan-Akuma had stabbed AstroMan's shoulder with its pitch fork. The sparks knocked the robot into turning around. Akuma smashed down and across AstroMan with the red metal rod before taking it high into the sky and swinging down. AstroMan saw the pitch fork coming down on itself so it held the SunSabre above its head, attempting to protect itself. Titan-Akuma's pitch fork crashed through the metal blade of the single-sided sword. On the dirt below, the other half of the sword dropped to AstroMan's feet. AstroMan looked at the smoking severed end of the SunSabre. Inside of the cockpit, MarsAstro pounded his console. "Not again!" "The SunSabre is broken!" VenusAstro shouted. "Now what are we going to do?" JupiterAstro sighed. "Die very slowly." MercuryAstro looked at the green Astroranger as he'd never seen him lose hope so fatally. Titan-Akuma stuck AstroMan's abs with the triple-pronged pitch fork causing sparks to blow out of its guts before stabbing the triangle-shaped tip of the fork's bottom into its chest. Arcs of electricity had crawled all over the robot's body as multiple sparks exploded all over its body. Inside of the cockpit, the Astroranger's attempted to avoid the sparks dripping from the ceiling. Titan-Akuma turned around and whipped its tail across AstroMan's chest. Sparks had snapped off the burnt armor of the giant robot. Akuma turned around and used the razor-sharp fin at the end of its tail to whip AstroMan again. Titan-Akuma opened its mouth again and allowed its tongue to leap out of its mouth like a snake. Around AstroMan's body, it had tied down its arms while holding the robot in place. Within the cockpit--VenusAstro jumped nervously within her seat from Akuma's familiar attack. SaturnAstro shook his head. "No no no, this shouldn't be happening!!" JupiterAstro clenched his fist. "This isn't gonna be fun!" Still smoking, AstroMan tried to get free from Titan-Akuma's tongue but there was no getting lose as bright blue, almost white arcs of electricity had cracked along Akuma's tongue. AstroMan's body was so charged full of electricity that the color of its entire body blacked out with a white outline; flashing repeatedly between its normal appearance and darkness. Meanwhile, the arcs of electricity had leaped all over the robot's armor causing more bright blasts of sparks to explode out from under its shell. Within the cockpit--everytime an Astroranger flipped a switch or pushed a button, sparks would bust out of the panel and its lights would cut off. VenusAstro put her white gloved hands over the black visor of her helmet while MercuryAstro below waved the smoke rising from his console. JupiterAstro put his arms up trying to protect himself while sparks rained down out of the ceiling, busted out of the walls. SaturnAstro leaned to the side when more sparks exploded out of the floor. Meanwhile, wires had fallen out of MarsAstro's console after sparks exploded out of it. "What in the hell is happening!?!" The cockpit's lights dimmed repeatedly. MercuryAstro looked at his console's lights dying. "Electrical overload!!!" Inside of AstroMan's body, a huge mechanical assembly with four massive valves had sparked with the liquid being pumped in hoses beside wires leaking out. Sparks exploding made the pumps catch fire. Outside; Titan-Akuma had sucked its tongue back inside of its face while AstroMan's body continued to writhe while sparks sprayed out of multiple locations all over it's armored body. Unexpectedly, sparks exploded out of AstroMan's right shoulder as the white TurboShuttle had dropped out of the robot's socket. On the ground, the fist had landed in the dirt knuckles first and fell onto its side. Inside of the smoke-filled cockpit, MercuryAstro nearly leaped out of his seat looking out the view screen. "Holy Crap! We just freakin' lost the arm!" SaturnAstro looked up at him. "At least that's ALL we lost!" VenusAstro was getting scared--she did not exactly expect this to happen. Sparks had continuously spewed out of the open hole in AstroMan's chest when jabbed by Akuma before. Eventually, it began to tip over. Inside of the cockpit--MarsAstro leaped over beside a round hatch and pulled the door open. "Emergency evacuation! Come on, let's move it! Go! Everybody, abandon the cockpit! Let's go!" While he said that each Astroranger had ran out of the hole before leaping out himself. All five Astrorangers took a dive from out of the near-night sky. Meanwhile, AstroMan, on fire, had completely toppled over into its face. "Astroranger!" said Adol's voice that echoed out. He spoke telepathically to the team who tried to get up. "Observe!" A spotlight had been shined on the top of a skyscraper on that block. VenusAstro had looked to the others and pointed to the sky. "That's Beverly!" The police officer was bound by a type of rope suspended by a cable tied to a pole extending out of the side of the towering building. Adol stood atop the building behind a guard rail. "Your incredible perception is correct, pink Astroranger." "Let her down!!" MarsAstro demanded. "(Messuta, contact Leto and have him initiate the emergency disassembly code and haul AstroMan the hell out of here.)" MercuryAstro nodded. "It's a trick, you guys," SaturnAstro shouted. "I've seen one too many times to fall for it again." "This is no bluff, Astroranger," Adol had announced while standing next to Igan. "Titan-Akuma will sever this cable and Beverly will plunge to her death; and without AstroMan or your shuttle fleet, you cannot rescue her." "What do you want, Adol?" JupiterAstro asked. "Only this: Surrender and she will go free," Adol answered. "Fight us, and she will most certainly perish." The Astrorangers looked at each other, not able to decide what to do. ACT II: Pluto--the gray, ice covered planet remained in the slow distant and orbit only to receive a fraction of the sun's heat and light. Beneath the surface, a massive bunker housed the Nazitan outpost installed by their battleship. Within the primary chamber, torches were mounted upon the brown, rock walls of the oval room. The ceiling was a dark, crystal dome and, on one end of the chamber, a stage that supported a large iron clad throne. Toward the steps was a gray crystal ball that was held up by a porcelain-like pedestal. On the flat, stone-ground below, Tortan ran into the chamber and then stopped to turn around. He looked around the walls and saw no one but heard a noise so he quickly faced a dark tunnel that led out of the center into one of the many chambers at the Nazitan outpost. Pointing his sword at the tunnel nobody came out. Tortan was hesitant to speak because if his target didn't know he was there, he remained having the upper hand. "Tortan," echoed Adol's voice. Tortan turned around again and looked up. "Where are you?! Show yourself!!" "I am giving you a chance to live, Tortan," his voice said. "You are approaching the point of no return if you betray me." Standing alone in the large room while looking up, Tortan held his sword above himself. "I would rather Die than to serve under you any longer! The time has come for a new leader to bring the Nazitan Dinasty to the next level of victory!" "Hahaha! You? Your incompetance has nothing but stunted our victory," Adol said. On the floor below, Tortan pointed to the ceiling. "You are the one who has led us in all the wrong directions, Adol! I will not allow the extinction of the Nazitans to come at the hands of your stupidity!" "How dare you speak such venomous words, Tortan! I order your obience now!" Tortan rose up his sword below the ceiling above himself. "Fight for it, damn you!" echoed Tortan's words off of the chamber's walls. "So be it," said Adol. "Embrace oblivion." The crystal ball on the pedastal began shooting forth rays of electric blue light that began drawing the figure of a humanoid. Tortan quickly stepped back in defense of what he was seeing as the lights refected off of his armor. After appearing a bolt of lightning, Adol took steps forward, beams of light shined out of his body as his aura finished glowing. "I am the ruler of this solar system upon the termination of the Astrorangers and all those who wish to stop me will be buried." Tortan watched Adol stand still. "Action speaks louder than words and I can't hear you." Adol nodded. "Suit yourself." Suddenly, he ripped off his robe and had cast it to the air above himself. "Errragh!!!" Tortan growled as he charged forth with his sword. Adol snapped his fingers and disappeared before quickly reappearing behind Tortan running past him. Tortan turned around and grunted, "What?!" Adol suddenly lifted up his arms and two metal chains started running out from behind his back and into the air. In midair, they shot through the middle of the chamber. Tortan resisted the two chains around his neck as he grabbed them with his hand. Adol pulled the chains with his hands and Tortan was hurled off his feet into the air. Past Adol, Tortan was sent flying past his shoulder and, on the floor Tortan tumbled over. And, when he looked up, Tortan watched the chains get sucked inside of Adol's body. Tortan stood up and shouted, "Sword of Procyon III: ThunderCrack!" Holding up the sword, the dark jewel in the center of the hilt's guard shined and poured forth in an electric blue ray of light. Adol levitated off of his feet, allowing the ray to beam under him and raised his hands to send arcs of red lightning bolts back the other way. Sparks snapped off of Tortan's metallic armor, blowing him down again. As Adol descended onto the floor again, he swept forward in a dramatic approach. "Your tricks wont save you so easily, Adol!" Tortan groaned while quickly standing up and leaping into the air. After Tortan rose up into the air, his metal-covered fist held out his Procyon Sword. While descending, Tortan swung his sword down. Adol caught the blade of Tortan's weapon and held it down while grabbing hold of his throat. "You are not the first imbecil to attempt this, Tortan." "But I will be the last!" Tortan shouted while throwing up Adol's arms. On the floor, Tortan put his feet together before jumping up. In midair, two of Tortan's feet kicked Adol in the chest and, on the floor, Adol hit the ground and rolled over several times. Meanwhile, Tortan landed on his feet and swung his sword around before holding it on Adol. Adol immediately stood up before pointing at him. "You're about to realize the gravity of this situation!" Pushing out both palms of his hands, Adol released a wave that rippled away from him. Standing in the chamber--Tortan was unaware of what was happening when the ring passed through him and removed his body from the premisis. At a rock quarry in front of a cliff face, Tortan dropped face down onto the gravel. Meanwhile, Adol leaped out of the ripple in the background and landed on his feet in front of the mountain. Tortan stood up, unable to determine where he was but had no time to figure it out because Adol was coming his way. Tortan swung his sword around and rammed it forward. Adol roundhoused the tip of his blade before punching Tortan in the chest, blasting sparks out of his armor. Tortan couldn't believe the strength in that man's punch as he stumble out of the way. On the ground, Tortan tumbled over onto his feet and turned around to stand up. Adol walked over to Tortan confidently so, raising his sword, he ran after the masked Nazitan. When Tortan swung his sword down through Adol, he disappeared and re-appeared behind him. Tortan realized this and turned around to run after Adol before ramming his sword at Adol. Again, he vanished and appeared elsewhere so Tortan looked to his right and then ran over to Adol swung his sword down but Adol became invisable again. Appearing behind Tortan again was Adol and Tortan turned around and swung his sword at him. Adol kicked up the blade and reverse-punched Tortan into the air and off of his feet. The samurai-armored warrior flew out of the air and tumbled over onto the ground again. "Are those actions loud enough for you?" Adol asked. Tortan stood up and pointed his sword at Adol. "I'm not finished yet." Jumping into the air, Tortan leaped into the sky with his sword aimed down as he plunged forward. Adol lifted up his arms, causing a gust of wind to blow forward. Tortan went swinging backwards through midair and, overhead, Tortan's body turned upside down. His two feet pushed off the side of a mountain and--in the sky again, Tortan tried attacking with his sword. A pair of chains again launched themselves from out of Adol's body again and, high above the ground in front of Adol, Tortan was suspended by the chains. As he struggled to free himself, Tortan was soon covered with the blue arcs of electricity that traveled the length of those chains. Eventually, sparks had exploded out of Tortan's body. Adol pulled his chains and Tortan found himself flying out of the sky. In midair, Tortan swam by before landing on the ground as Adol stood in front of him. After Tortan managed to stand up again, Adol touched the chains and sparks blew out of Tortan's chest before more a tower of sparks erupted into a fountain of fire. The Nazitan warrior was launched off of his feet and into the air but before he fell again, Adol pulled on the chains. Tortan was flying skyward again and over Adol's head, his chest sparked when Adol's fist knocked up against his body. On the ground, Tortan landed on the ground and rolled over and over again several times. Meanwhile, the chains were reeled in by Adol's body. Tortan stood up and ran his hand the length of his blade before swinging out his sword, covering it with a red glow. Striking out, the red beam shot off the blade of Tortan's Sword. A nearly transparent shield materialized in front of Adol's body causing the red beam to bounce back. Tortan's abs caught the full force of the blast, shooting out a wide explosion of sparks before more explosions erupted into fountains of sparks, knocking him down. Above the ground, Adol the Great's black fist held his special wand before bringing it before his chest. And, on the gravel--Tortan struggled to his feet with smoke lifting from his samurai armor as he saw Adol step towards him. "It is time to meet your maker, Tortan," Adol said as he walked towards him. Tortan stood up while holding his sword. "NO!" Adol brought the wand to the sky--darkly tinting it above his head. "By the power invested in me by Lord Vahorra of Procyon III; I, Adol summon thy power and destroy all those who obstruct my path!" Clouds rolled through the dark sky, flashing occasionally within themselves as lightning bolted downward in thunderous arcs. The length of his wand became a red laser with a yellow aura as electric blue lightning caused green arcs to sizzle over the staff. Adol the Great had swung out to the side--immediately causing it to grow in length to a full sized baton and push it forward. The core of a yellow ray of light was encircled like a DNA model with sparkling green light and pushed forward. The deadly flow rammed into Tortan's abdomen before sparks blasted from his armor, but instead of falling he stood. But his body was turning blue while being covered with arcs of yellow crawling all over his body while writhing. Adol stood still, holding his magic wand ahead and while in the rock quarry in front of Tortan on the other side, the lightning was still streaming towards him. Sparks randomly popped out of the ground as the electrifying rays danced all over Tortan's armor. "And now it ends," Adol said as he took down his arm. Standing alone, sparks had shot out of his shoulder, his leg and his torso many times while falling to one knee. Another spark knocked him into midair before dropping onto his back. Suddenly, the crackling and the sizzling got louder and the smoke was getting thicker. Tortan's body had spontaneously combusted into flames of fire that exploded into a violent blast, launching black smoke skyward. Behind the flames, Adol put his arms down and looked at the once living torch before himself before turning around and walking away. In Elysian Park, Cyborg Akuma had waved its pitch over a swirling vortex within a circular pit in the grass. Lightning bolts had leaped out of whirlpool of light, kicking up high wind. "Cyborgs of the past, awaken! Go forth and take control of the planet Earth! Seize it's people and obstruct its military. Zombie Regurgitor -- ARISE!" A winged metallic organism with a horned blue horse head, spiked dragon tail and claws ascended from the vortex. In the night sky, it had grown into a titan cyborg. "Go and seek the Earth solar sphere!" Akuma shouted. Red lightning had given Zombie Regurgitor an aura unto itself before becoming a ball of white light. It had taken flight, leaving the park. "Zombie Saw! -- Awaken and Arise!" Akuma had commanded. Rising from the ground was a humanoid with green appendages with a torso several shades of brown with light armor multiple shades of dark gray. Onboard, it supported a razor frisbee, a circular saw in its head and shoulders. Razor fins on its legs and projectile saw discs on its arms. Zombie Saw's tool-belt supported a blowtorch, hammer, tape measure whip, screwdriver sword and power drill pistol. Cyborg Akuma had used its pitch fork to package Saw into a sphere of white light, sending it into the night sky as well. After it shot away like a comet, Akuma had called out, "Zombie Miira--return and arise!!" Standing 150 feet into the night sky was the mummified robot Miira. "Take flight and search the world for the Solar Sphere," Akuma commanded. In the night sky, the white balls of light had flown overhead eventually splitting into various directions. New York City. Zombie Saw had waved its chain saw around while walking between the skyscrapers. Eventually, it had jammed it into the ground, pulled the cord causing it cutting action to begin. Beneath the surface, subways had crashed and people at stations underground had run from the enormous saw slicing their way. Africa. A wide variety of animals in the forest ran as fast as they could while Zombie Miira, the mummy that was hundreds of feet tall, looked around and searched for a location to begin digging. Asia. Zombie Regurgitor had walked into Japan and began using eye drills to pound the pavement. Men and women ran from the lasers carving through the streets of Tokyo, causing multiple explosions in the process. In Elysian Park in Los Angeles, Cyborg Akuma allowed the vortex in the Earth to close. It looked over to a half a dozen Armiton soldiers and said, "The yellow Astroranger will not likely cooperate in assisting us, so we must give her incentive since we cannot kill her. Find Sasha Castillo." Akuma had snapped its fingers and instantly, the drones automatically knew exactly where to find Beverly's best friend. "Go and bring her to me at once!" At the SpaceBase--the main screen showed Zombie Pyro setting Chicago aflame while the National Guard had tanks blasting at the titan cyborg. Meanwhile, the task force had lined up, ready to go. Messuta looked at Commander Leto. "Keep the scanners peeled for ANYTHING related to a solar sphere. We're going to try our best to close in on it before the Nazitans do." "I'll do my best," Commander Leto replied. He exhaled and looked down momentarily. "Astro Rangers, the events today have forced me to take into consideration that you just might not return to the SpaceBase or Terrania. So I'd just like to take this opportunity to tell you that it has been wonderful working with all of you. And that, for the sake of all humanity, on both Earth and Terrania, that you are successful." "The odds might be against us," Nashiran replied, "but no matter what, if one does everything in their power to do the right thing--somehow, something _will_ save the day." Lotia walked over and gave Commander Leto a hug and stepped back into position. Messuta took a deep breath and smiled. Australis nodded affirmatively. "Ready." "ChangeForm!" Sheratan shouted--all five pulled up their right fists, baring their GeneGem rings that shined. "AstroCharge!" they shouted while forcing the golden rings, showing the Ruby, Amethyst, Diamond, Zircon and Onyx gems, ahead of themselves. The five stones had then flashed brilliantly. Sheratan's face was before a black background as it began to dissolve into a black silhouette; his body also a shadow in front of a red grid, a white bar of light scrolled across his body from left to right. The light returned to the left, leaving Sheratan in the red shiny uniform of MarsAstro. The shadows of the other four Terranians transformed into the green, white, black and pink Astrorangers as a brilliant white light flashed once again. In the zero-gravity take-off bay at the bottom of the SpaceBase, the force field maintaining air-pressure activated in the take-off bay as the bay doors began to open as indicated by the warning signal. Seated, JupiterAstro had been lowered inside of the cockpit of CommandShuttle as the lights came on. The console slid towards the him and locked into place. In CombatShuttle, MarsAstro pushed up the slider on his console. "Take off!" The TurboShuttle's rocket boosters fired up. Inside of the TurboShuttle cockpit, MercuryAstro's head was pressed back against his seat's headboard. In outer space, the five AstroShuttles had left the take-off bay as the SpaceBase became invisible again. The green CommandShuttle led the black and white rockets: SolarShuttle and TurboShuttle and the red and pink shuttles: CombatShuttle and RescueShuttle to the Earth below. Inside of the cockpit of CombatShuttle, MarsAstro looked straight ahead. "Okay, team, here's the way we're gonna split it. I'll take the fire breather, Lotia will handle the saw cyborg, Messuta will take on the mummy cyborg, Nashiran has Regurgitor and Australis will deal with Juryok." JupiterAstro nodded. "All right, let's split up everybody." "Good luck to everyone," VenusAstro broadcasted. "RescueShuttle out." "TurboShuttle here," MercuryAstro said. "If I need help, I'll let you know." SaturnAstro exhaled. "In case we don't make it, I'd like to say that you're the best team I've ever worked with." "The feeling is mutual, Nash," MarsAstro replied. "CombatShuttle out." The five starships began to split apart as they headed for the different continents of the planet Earth. 2:05 A.M., Pacific Daylight Time. Near the intersection of Vermont and Olympic was a small residential area. Here, a single story three bedroom house had all of its lights turned out with Beverly's car parked in the driveway. In the bedroom that Sasha Castillo's room was in, she slept in her bed. She stayed up all night worried about Beverly until her body grew tired and forced her to snooze. In the window, the face an Armiton had appeared outside by the bushes. It had taken them four or five hours to comb the city but the tireless automatons were able to locate the human Akuma had programmed them to seek out. There was a loud pounding on the front door. Sasha was not able to be awakened but the second slam had jolted her into consciousness. Another set of kicks against the front door caused her to think that someone was knocking but as the kicking continued, she knew someone was trying to break in. She reached into the draw of her nightstand beside her twin-sized bed and grabbed stun gun; Sasha had also dialed 9-1-1 and left the phone off the hook. This way, they would trace the call and send over police but she would not have to speak and alert the intruder she is aware of their presence. She wandered through the living room and all was silent. While looking around cautiously, she approached the front door. Sasha pulled curtains draped over the windows back and saw nobody on the front porch. Confused, she opened the front door. Leaping down off the top of the rain gutters on the roof, the Armitons had reached in and took her out. Sasha screamed and pulled her arms away from the Armitons. "Who are you!? Why are you taking me!?" She was knocked out by a soldier ramming the handle of its rifle into the back of her head. 1:08 A.M., Eastern Daylight Time--RescueShuttle flew into Manhattan, passing the statue of liberty. In Time Square, Zombie Saw took its humongous hands and pushed its fingers through the pavement. Gas mains bursting into big fire-filled explosions and water lines breaking causing a fountain of water. The 150 foot giant had knelt down while almost all of its arm had pushed its way underground. The 60 foot long rescue shuttle had flown overhead and dropped a couple of glowing balls of light from its ventral hull. When Zombie Saw gave up, huge blasts of sparks exploded out of its light silver armor. Saw stood up, unaffected and took out the power-drill in its tool belt. RescueShuttle flew in for the kill while Saw began to fire bolts of red light out of its drill. Flashes had caused the transparent, egg-shaped shield to glow. Inside of the cockpit, VenusAstro was rocked in her seat by a powerful jolt. "Okay, good; shields are holding. Return fire!" she commanded. The pink AstroShuttle flew in and shot a variety of pink stars ahead. Multiple blasts of sparks had blown out of Zombie Saw's chest. It put its drill away and then grabbed its blow-torch. Turning the knob on the enormous cannister, fire streamed out of the elongated tube connected to the top of the bottle. RescueShuttle flew through the fire and past Zombie Saw's chest, causing a friction spark to blast out of its armor. 3:39 P.M., Japan Standard Time--portions of Tokyo were aflame as Zombie Regurgitor had neared the coast observing the black SolarShuttle arriving. The rocket ship had began to emit several rings of yellow light that pulsed ahead. Zombie Regurgitor was knocked back but it had pointed the horn in its forehead at SolarShuttle and shot out balls of white light. In the cockpit of the rocket--SaturnAstro was rocked by a blast of sparks exploding in front of his cockpit. "I never did like this cyborg!" Regurgitor turned around and used its spike tail to bat SolarShuttle across its nose. Inside of the cockpit, SaturnAstro was roughly jolted. "This sucks! I'm out of control!" The black SolarShuttle began to spin out towards the vast factory fields. 7:05 P.M., Australian Eastern Time--the 200 foot tall Zombie Juryok had yellow rings of light traveling from the palms of its thick red hands to the hull of CommandShuttle. The green starship was suspended in midair above Sydney Harbour. Juryok fired a bolt of lightning out of its single eye which caused sparks to explode. In front of the cockpit, sparks rocked JupiterAstro before the green Astroranger could regain control of his console. "I hope the others are having better luck than I am!" He attempted to break free without success. Zombie Juryok swayed his arms, hurling CommandShuttle into the Harbour Bridge causing a massive dust cloud to explode after crashing. TO BE CONTINUED Next week on Galaxy Task Force Astroranger. . .
